In April, Nisshin Shipping took delivery of the MT Gold Trader, the world’s biggest dual-fuel parcel chemical tanker. The 33,000 DWT vessel, along with the five other vessels in the newbuilding project, all feature X-DF engines from WinGD.
The vessels are being built at Nantong Xiangyu shipyard in China. They include two 19,900 DWT and four 33,000 DWT tankers. Fleet Management, which is supervising the newbuilding project, performs technical management for a fleet of 12 dual-fuel vessels and has another 14 on order.
